It was a long time coming, but it certainly didn’t under-deliver: Avalon 2023 was the busiest ever for the team at AvPlan EFB. With five staff on board, we were all a little hoarse by day five.
Having attended a total of three events since 2020, the team was excited to connect with our customers. Our brilliant marketing guru, Angela, donned her thinking cap to come up with an exciting range of promotions to show our appreciation for you, our loyal customers. Our We Have Clearance, Clarence subscriber gift bags were hugely appreciated, and Angela spotted many an AvPlan EFB user sporting our bucket hats across the week.
Our iPad photo competition was equally well received and we’re still sorting through the amusing and creative entries. A winner will be announced tomorrow and will be the proud owner of a brand new iPad mini and a year’s subscription to AvPlan EFB.
Bevan’s presentation was well attended on Saturday, giving our users a chance to ask questions and make suggestions to the boss himself. Sadly, we were too busy on the stand to spare a staff member to record the seminar, but Bevan and Kreisha will both be out and about this year, coming to an airfield near you. After far too long in lockdown, it was absolutely splendid to meet our users face-to-face. Thank you all for your questions and your support. Kreisha and Graham from the support team were particularly thrilled to connected with the names we’ve been chatting to over the last three years.
Our drone app, Ok2Fly also received a lot of attention and OK2Fly developer Peter Derrick was on hand to answer a barrage of questions from existing and new users. Customers were also very supportive of the growth and development of our Android version, and developer Edgar Olyerhoek was delighted to meet our Android users in person.
With 80,000 members of the general public passing through the gates, and 45,000 on the trade days, the show was the biggest yet. The AvPlan team would like to thank each and every customer who popped by to see us – thank you for your support!
