The app is available as a free download (with a one month fully featured free trial) via the Google Play Store. After 30 days, the app will require an annual subscription to retain access. The requirement is a base subscription (VFR Standard), with optional upgrades (for example to the VFR Pro or Premium subscription).
Subscriptions purchased via www.avplan-efb.com are set to automatically renew by default at the end of each subscription. You can manage your subscription/s by going to the My Account page on our website. This is where you can turn off automatic renewal if you wish.
- The AvPlan VFR Standard subscription enables the use of the app, with the AIP, ERSA and VFR maps available (In Australia; VTC, VNC, WAC, ERC Low and PCA. In New Zealand, all parts of th NZ AIP required for VFR flight).
At the completion of the subscription period, the app will no longer function until the subscription has been renewed.
- The VFR Standard Plus subscription combines VFR Standard with the Pro Upgrade.
- The IFR Upgrade adds the ability to view approach plates and associated IFR documentation (i.e. DAP and IFR Charts (ERC H, ERC L, TAC)).
- The Premium Bundle incorporates VFR Standard, IFR Upgrade and Pro Upgrade. The Pro Upgrade subscription will be utilised by future versions of AvPlan EFB for Android to unlock advanced flight planning features.
Optionally in Australia, a subscription to FlightAce® Country Airstrips Guide can be purchased.
- The Country Airstrip Guide is a set of charts collated by FlightAce® for many small Australian ALAs. Each one has a mud-map and a standardized set of data fields.
