After you’ve prepared your flight plan, it’s time to go fly it!
But before you do, please make sure that AvPlan has valid navigation data and charts. The first part of Settings> data-downloads explains just how important this is.

!It is therefore imperative that before stepping into your aircraft and while connected to the internet, you ensure that AvPlan is running on all your in-flight devices (i.e. primary and backup if you have one), so that it can check that it has current data. If AvPlan subsequently detects expired data, it will not work. No ifs, no buts. We are legally obliged to make AvPlan behave this way even though there could be a risk of leaving you high and dry. We dont want to do that, so PLEASE make sure that you have valid data before you go flying. We urge you to make this check a part of your preflight.
