New in AvPlan EFB 5.0 is the ASETPA Glide Calculator. This feature, unavailable anywhere else, shows you during flight planning all airports along your route that you can glide to in the event of an engine failure. These are displayed as grey areas on the map. When your route is within a grey area, you can glide to that airport.
The glide range takes into account aircraft glide performance, winds aloft, terrain and runway length. At maximum range, the glide calculator will bring you to 1500ft above the airport.
This feature is available for all pro subscribers.
